Paul Deakin is a furniture and cabinet making workshop. The company serves private clients, interior designers and architects. Their ability to work closely with clients throughout every project, means that they are able to produce exactly what is desired of them.
The design studio and workshop are in the same building which ensures a good line of communication from the client through the designer Paul Deakin and on into the workshop. The key to a successful design interpretation is clear communication, so with the making being closely overseen or executed by the designer himself the very closest attention to detail is achieved.
Once the project reaches the workshop, either Paul or one of his craftsmen will be entirely responsible for the careful and efficient manufacture of the furniture. The workshop and its craftsmen are equipped to take on all types of furniture making, from a contemporary coffee table or a traditional sidetable with turnings and inlays, to furnishing entire buildings. Solid wood, veneered and painted furniture are made to a constantly high standard and in the case of fitted furniture the fitters are well known to Paul and are careful, tidy and professional.
Sustainable: Timber is specifically selected by Paul for its quality and beauty of grain as well as being locally sourced where possible and always from sustainable sources. Hardwoods used include oak, sycamore, cherry and maple. Softwoods such as cedar and poplar may also be selected for certain projects. You may also choose a high quality painted finish for your furniture or cabinets. We do also make pieces from exotic timbers that are from managed woodlands.
